Section 4 - Radar and EW Subsystem Test
Chapter 16 - Signal Source Essentials - Parameters, Technologies, and Methods
Video: Introducing the New VXG Microwave Signal Generators

Designing state of the art radar and communications applications at millimeter wave frequencies requires expanded measurement solutions. With ultra-low phase noise and the industry's highest output power, the VXG is the world's first dual-channel 44 GHz vector signal generator with 2GHz RF bandwidth per channel, in a single unit. Get higher confidence in your device's performance, faster.
Video: Simulate Multi-Threat Scenarios | N5193A UXG Agile Signal Generator

The new Keysight UXG agile signal generator is a fast-switching signal generator designed for electronic warfare testing. With features unexpected in an off-the-shelf source, the UXG is a powerful threat simulator to get closer to reality.
Video: RADAR and EW Coherent Signal Generation and Analysis - Amplitude Walks

Demonstration shows coherent signal generation and analysis using Keysight’s UXG family. Define your Radar or EW scenario in pulse descriptor words (PDWs) and stream the RF from multiple sources. This example focuses on amplitude and phase walks.

Chapter 17 - Measuring Radar and EW Signals
Video: Wideband, multi-port, coherent RF pulse analysis

Variable-length segmented capture used together with real time digital down conversion enables the UXR to capture every pulse in a typical EW scenario, even if lasting seconds or tens of seconds.

Chapter 18 - Testing TR Modules Efficiently
Video: Measuring T/R Modules with Keysight PNA-X courtesy of Microwave Journal

This is an example of measuring the transmit and receive paths on a beamformer IC, performing the bi-directional test with the device connected once - in a single orientation. For the Tx power amplifier (PA) we are able to characterize S-parameter, 1dB compression, 3rd order intercept and intermodulation distortion. On the Rx low noise amplifier (LNA) we again measure S-parameter, 3rd order intercept and intermodulation distortion, plus noise figure.
