Section 2 - Virtual Prototyping using Design Tools
Video: Keysight PathWave Design and Test Software Platform

Introducing PathWave from Keysight. The first design and test software platform created to accelerate your workflow by connecting every step in your product development path - from design and simulation, to prototype and test, to manufacturing -connected and integrated.
Video: What's New in PathWave System Design (SystemVue)

Here is a brief overview of the exciting new features that are available in the PathWave System Design 2021 update, one of our biggest releases ever, providing; new simulation technologies, improvements to features, new examples and reference library updates. Updates include new examples for Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Electronic Countermeasures (ECM) and Electronic Conuter-Counter Measures (ECCM) plus support for large phased array applications with sub-array architectures.

Chapter 2 - Radar and EW Development Using Model-Based Engineering
Video: Radar Cascade Analysis with PathWave System Design courtesy of Microwave Journal

See the latest model-based design features for radar applications demonstrated on Keysight's PathWave System Design. Connect radar models from different sources to perform cascade analysis incorporating different radar modes, antenna models, injection of clutter & jamming, 3D kinematic scenarios.

Chapter 5 - Applying Ultra-Wideband Technology in Radar and EW Systems
Video: Realistic Ultra-Wideband Radar Signal Generation Using PathWave System Design (SystemVue)

Testing of radar systems can be extremely time-consuming and expensive. Radar transceivers must be designed and tested with realistic environment and jamming scenarios, which often involve costly outdoor ranges, chambers, and real-time hardware simulators. To dramatically lower cost Keysight SystemVue can be used with Keysight test equipment to model many of these same scenarios.

Chapter 6 - Dealing With the Complexity of Phased-Array Systems
Video: How To Design Phased Array Systems

This video will provide a discussion on the most important considerations for phased array system design, especially popular for proposed 5G architectures. It begins with the basics of phased array design, then covers 4 key parameters of phased array architecture. It then shows how the far field pattern affects the overall system performance through an example, and what factors influence that far field pattern as part of the design process. After watching this video you will be able to download the simulation tool, SystemVue, to perform your own phased array modeling and simulations.

Chapter 8 - Virtual Flight Testing of Radar System Performance
Video: Bringing Real-World Scenario Modeling to Aerospace Systems Design

“Virtual flight testing” is a faster, more cost-effective alternative to range testing that is suited to the earlier stages of R&D, and can be achieved by connecting PathWave System Design with AGIs Systems Tool Kit (STK). This demonstration provides visualization and modeling of an aircraft moving relative to land and sea assets. More complex scenarios can include Radar and EW signal generation and processing, as well as kinematic and environmental effects like doppler, clutter, jamming, interference, targets, and simulated platform and target hardware specific parameters.
