Learn VNA Characterization Essentials
To meet the demand for greater data rates, 5G communications systems are migrating to mm-Wave frequencies where greater spectrum is available. However, there are several challenges associated with the adoption of mm-Wave, like increased path loss and decreased power amplifier peak output power relative to their sub-10 GHz counterparts. Phased arrays are a widely adopted solution, combining tens or hundreds of elements to achieve highly effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP). Unfortunately, characterizing the over-the air (OTA) performance of phased arrays under modulated signals is particularly challenging as it requires high dynamic range instrumentation and careful calibration.
In part 4 of the VNA Active Device Characterization Essentials webinar series, you will learn how to simplify and accelerate the phased array testing and linearization using the VXG signal generator, PNA-X network analyzer, and modulation distortion analysis software application.
