Generating AMI Models for SerDes Applications
Simulating PCIe Gen5 for Embedded System Design
Part of Keysight's 'Simulating for High-Speed Digital Insights' webinar series
July 14, 2022 | 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET
AMI (Algorithmic Modeling Interface) has become the industry standard for modeling and simulating SerDes transmitter and receiver behaviors. It includes equalization, and CDR (Clock Data Recovery) used for PCIe, USB, and Ethernet applications. It also helps SerDes design engineers to simulate their system quickly and accurately to determine BER (Bit Error Rate) and Eye Density. However, it is typically a challenging task to build an accurate AMI model that describes complex silicon. In this webinar, we show an easy-to-use workflow using PathWave ADS.

Key Learnings:

  • The basics of AMI
  • Generating AMI models with a wizard-driven AMI Model Builder
  • Using AMI Models in a channel simulation
