Batteries and Power Management Webinar

On-Demand
Original Broadcast Date: September 22, 2021
Summary

Battery-powered, wireless devices surround us in almost every aspect of modern life, from smart phones and smart watches to implanted medical devices such as pacemakers. The proliferation of these devices translates into a need to maximize the time between charging for end-user satisfaction, and a requirement to properly operate for long periods of time for mission critical applications such as those involving implantable medical devices. This means several elements of the device must be tested: the sub circuits, the battery, and the device as a whole. This webinar will start off by giving a brief overview of batteries and battery types, followed by an explanation of battery electrical ratings and battery profiling/emulation. Finally, we’ll cover the standard battery test procedures used to verify the performance of secondary batteries and explain the equipment and software needed to perform these tests.

This webinar covers batteries and power management considerations and is part six of Keysight’s 7-part "All About Power" webinar series.
